HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Genuine Fertilizer Solutions will soon be fully operational at their new 12,000 square foot Hopkinsville facility. This location will be able to store 800,000 gallons of liquid fertilizer, producing upwards of eight million gallons a year.

In April, the South Western Kentucky Economic Development Council announced that this locally owned $2.9 million development would create 10-15 new, high paying agriculture jobs. Located at the industrial park at Bill Bryan Boulevard, GFS will be operational on Oct. 1, with their grand opening planned for Aug. 31.

“What inspired us to start Genuine Fertilizer Solutions was the lack of locally produced liquid fertilizer in Western Kentucky,” said David Barbee, GFS President. “Much of the product used in our area was being shipped in from outside the region, which could affect availability, lead times and transportation costs, especially during the busiest parts of the growing season.”
