HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A fatal crash involving a pedestrian Tuesday night is being investigated by law enforcement in Hopkinsville.
The Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the accident on Sept. 15 just after 9 p.m. at Russellville Road in the area of Airport Road. Nathan Stewart with Hopkinsville Fire/EMS told Christian County Now that a woman was found unresponsive on the scene near Circle K gas station by Western State Hospital.
Emergency crews initiated life saving measures with CPR, and she was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center where she was pronounced deceased. The Christian County Coroner identified the victim as 50-year-old Elizabeth Jessup of Hopkinsville.
Hopkinsville Police is investigating.
