Updated 12 p.m.: The victim of the fatal accident has been identified as 21-year-old Hunter Sandberg, a Fort Campbell soldier.

OAK GROVE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A fatal accident involving a motorcycle is being investigated by the Oak Grove Police Department and other law enforcement agencies.
Just after 9:30 p.m. on Sept. 28, Hopkinsville Fire/EMS reported the motorcycle versus vehicle accident near the intersection of Tuckaway Lane and Fort Campbell Boulevard in Oak Grove. One person was treated at the scene for injuries and traffic was shut down in the area.
The Christian County Coroner was ultimately called to the scene as the individual was announced deceased at the location of the accident. The Christian County Sheriff’s Office reports that the investigation is being conducted alongside Oak Grove PD and KSP.
