HOPKINSVILLE, KY – Christian County High School will kick off its first-ever Homecoming Week with a milestone celebration: the school’s inaugural Homecoming Parade.

The parade is set for Sunday, Oct. 11 at 4:30 p.m., with lineup beginning at 4:00 p.m. at the Justice Center. The route runs from the Justice Center down West Ninth, South Virginia, Fourth Street, South Main, and back to West Ninth before returning to the Justice Center.

Serving as Grand Marshal is Rylee Owens. Immediately following the parade, the community is invited to stick around for a Community Pep Rally on the steps of the Justice Center.

“This parade is about more than a celebration, it’s about showing our high school that the entire community is behind them,” said Superintendent Chris Bentzel. “From day one, Christian County High School has been built on the idea that we’re stronger together, and Sunday’s parade is just the beginning of what this school and this community can accomplish side by side.”

Tiger Athletics will be on full display all week, featuring the boys’ and girls’ district soccer tournament and volleyball’s Senior Night, along with other spirit events. The week culminates on Friday night with football taking on rival McCracken County for district bragging rights.

Organizers are also encouraging downtown businesses to get involved by decorating storefronts, painting windows, and showing Tiger spirit along the parade route.

The parade’s theme, “One Community. One Tiger Way,” reflects the spirit behind the event: a new school built on a foundation the whole county can rally around.
