Markeeta Wilkerson’s first 100 days in office

The first 100 days of my administration will focus on listening, learning, and leading with transparency. My priority will be to build strong relationships, assess the city’s current operations and finances, and establish a clear vision for moving Hopkinsville forward.

Good Governance

Meet with City Council, department leaders, and employees to establish collaborative leadership. Review city policies, procedures, and operational practices to ensure efficiency, accountability, and transparency. Promote professional development, including governance and parliamentary procedure training, while encouraging the use of best practices in municipal government.

Fiscal Responsibility

Conduct a comprehensive review of the city’s budget, financial position, and ongoing projects. Evaluate current spending and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, strengthen long-term planning, and maximize available resources.
