HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Hopkinsville Beautification is encouraging the community to nominate candidates for the Hopkinsville Holiday Decoration Award.
Homes that are festively decorated with a cohesive theme, beautiful lighting, and a lot of creativity could win the award of Best Decorated Residence. There will be 12 winners, one chosen from each ward in Hopkinsville. Businesses within the city limits of Hopkinsville can also be nominated for a chance to be awarded Best Decorated Business.
A news release from Hopkinsville Beatification says the goal of the contest is to recognize the efforts of Hopkinsville residents and businesses that encourage community pride and holiday spirit. Winners will receive a Certificate of Recognition signed by the Mayor and will get their photos shared online. People from the Public Works department will judge and choose the winners.
All entries must be submitted by Dec. 15. People can submit nominations by phone to Public Works at 270-890-0703, enter on the Hopkinsville Beautification Facebook page, or by entering on the city website at hopkinsvilleky.us/services/beautification and using the form to enter.
