HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Constant rain over the span of 12 hours led to multiple water rescues from the Hopkinsville Fire Department.

Teams responded to over 55 emergencies during the downpour, several of which were directly storm-related, according to HFD. Two water rescues took place in response to the flooding that occurred. On Buffalo Road, two ambulances and a rescue truck arrived, while two fire trucks and an ambulance went to Hurst Drive.

Between the two locations, 17 people were rescued.
