HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Entertainment in Hopkinsville is in full swing as 2024 unfolds. The historic Alhambra Theatre is celebrating 95 years of facilitating plays, performers, and events on their stage.
Campanile Productions has announced their 15 season. They are a local community theatre troupe that performs at the Alhambra. They are tackling with two new shows this year including Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and 9 to 5 The Musical.
Founding director Jeffrey Riggs is excited to celebrate their 15th season, referred to as the Crystal Season in showbusiness.
“It’s a bit surreal,” said Riggs. “When we first started fifteen years ago, I never dreamed that it would still be successful as it is.”
Along with the two new shows, Campanile will be bringing back their popular performances of A Christmas Carol and The Wizard of Oz.
“We are excited to bring these shows to the stage and create some magical moments for the community,” Riggs said. Those interested in auditioning for the upcoming season can find information on the Campanile Production Facebook page.
