HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – After heavy rainfall came through the area, a hydroplaning accident in Christian County caused a vehicle to flip several times overnight.
Around 1:20 a.m. on July 27, deputies with the Christian County Sheriff’s Office were called to a single-vehicle crash on Interstate-169 (Pennyrile Parkway) at the 5-mile marker. An SUV was traveling southbound when it hydroplaned, causing it to run off the road into the median and overturn several times, according to John Godsey with CCSO.
The driver was extricated from her vehicle by Hopkinsville EMS after being trapped inside and was taken to Jennie Stuart Health for treatment.
