HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A Hopkinsville man was arrested after deputies with the Christian County Sheriff’s Office found drugs, a firearm, and a child at risk in his home on Thursday, Nov. 7.

Detectives with the CCSO Anti-Crime unit executed a search warrant at the suspects residence where they discovered 137 fentanyl pills and a significant amount of money. According to a CCSO news release, deputies also found a loaded handgun with restricted ammunition and a small amount of marijuana.

The suspect was found to have a previous felony conviction that prevents him from owning or possessing a firearm. A small child lived in the residence and is believed to have been exposed to narcotic use.

The suspect was arrested and charged with drug trafficking, possession of marijuana, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, using restricted ammo during felony, and first-degree wanton endangerment.
