HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A murder suspect has been apprehended nearly a week after he allegedly shot and killed a Hopkinsville man. He was arrested by Hopkinsville Police on Aug. 31 and is being charged with murder.
On Aug. 26, 42-year-old Miguel Finch was fatally shot in the chest at an apartment complex off of Koffman Drive in Hopkinsville. He was treated on the scene for his injuries and later died at the hospital. Later that night, investigators with the Hopkinsville Police Department identified the suspect as 19-year-old Jabbarreion Murphy, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
An arrest report says Murphy was taken into custody at the Hopkinsville Police Department Monday night around 7:30 and was booked into the Christian County Jail. HPD Public Information Officer Justin Rios said the arrest took place without incident.
Murphy was arraigned at the Christian County Justice Center the morning after his arrest.
