HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Two men were arrested at a Hopkinsville residence Friday night by the Christian County Sheriff’s Office.
At the 1300 block of Main Street, deputies observed a man exiting a vehicle who had an active warrant for failing to appear in court. According to a CCSO press release, the 24-year-old driver smelled strongly of marijuana. Deputies searched him and found a handgun in his waistband along with a clear plastic baggie containing pills. Further search uncovered cocaine and fentanyl pills, as well as cash.
The passenger in the vehicle was a 22-year-old male out of Earlington Kentucky. He was arrested and charged with possession of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia.
During the search of the driver’s home, more fentanyl, cocaine, and marijuana was found along with a recently reported stolen handgun. He was arrested and charged with trafficking, possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, receiving stolen property, and failure to appear.
