HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Beginning February 5, Andrew Goins will serve as the principal at Hopkinsville Middle School, according to a press release from Christian County Public Schools.

Serving most recently as the assistant principal at Hopkinsville High School, Goins brings 14 years of education experience into his new role. “His leadership and work with our Freshman Academy at Hopkinsville High has served as an excellent example for our students and staff over the past two years and we are confident he will bring the same level of excellence to Hopkinsville Middle School,” said CCPS Superintendent Chris Bentzel.

Prior to joining the teaching staff at Hopkinsville High School in 2023, he taught at Heritage Christian Academy and Paducah Tilghman High School. He transitioned to assistant principal at Freedom Elementary in 2019 and returned to Hopkinsville High as assistant principal to serve as the lead for the Freshman Academy.

“I am excited to have the opportunity to lead Hopkinsville Middle School,” said Goins. “I am honored and privileged to work alongside our tremendous students, staff, and families.”

Goins is a graduate of Murray State University and holds two master’s degrees from the University of the Cumberlands. Goins and his wife Amanda, have one daughter, Alivia.
