HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Beginning on Wednesday, Jan. 22, Ascend Way in Commerce Park II will be closed for two weeks to install a rail spur crossing.
A rail spur is a short section of railroad track that branches off from the main line. Typically, one is installed to create an access point to a factory or warehouse for loading or unloading cargo.
According to a news release from Hopkinsville Public Works, RailWorks Track Services and Double A Construction will be working to prepare the road for the installation. Motorists in the area should seek alternate routes.
