HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The Hopkinsville-Christian County Downtown Farmers Market, situated at the intersection of Ninth Street and Main Street, is kicking off its 2024 season May 2. Casey Jones Distillery is one of the returning vendors people can expect to see this season.

Peg Hays, Co-owner of Casey Jones, announced that this year they’ll continue to offer their signature lineup, featuring cocktails, bottled distilled spirits, bourbon, moonshine, and their renowned moonarita drink, a delightful blend of margarita and Casey Jones Distillery moonshine.

“If you love margaritas you will love our moonerita,” Hays said.” Downtown is hugely important for community, connectivity, and more.”

Peg and her team have been vendors at the farmers market for around six years. Among their top-selling items are the moonaritas and their bourbon. Along with being a vendor, Hays is also chairperson of the local development corporation which manages the property of the market. Here, she came to know the other vendors and people in the community.

“It’s a fun group of people and a great place for social engagement and business engagement,” Hays said. “It’s a pivotal community asset that supports economic development, fosters community engagement and promotes sustainable healthy living.”

Visit the Downtown Farmers Market on Thursdays from 4-7 p.m. to meet the people of Casey Jones and see the all the products from the distillery.
