HOPKINSVILLE, KY – The Boys & Girls Club of Hopkinsville-Christian County will host the 2026 Boys & Girls Clubs of Kentucky State Youth of the Year Competition on March 18–19, 2026, bringing together outstanding young leaders from across the Commonwealth to compete for the prestigious state title.

The Youth of the Year program is the premier recognition program for Boys & Girls Clubs, celebrating inspiring teens who demonstrate academic success, strong leadership, service to their communities, and healthy lifestyles. Participants often credit their local Clubs with providing mentorship, safe spaces, and opportunities that helped them reach their full potential.

The Kentucky State Youth of the Year will go on to represent the state at the regional competition, with the opportunity to advance to the national level. If chosen during the two-day event in Hopkinsville, finalists representing Boys & Girls Clubs throughout Kentucky will participate in interviews with a distinguished panel of judges, deliver speeches, and share their personal stories of growth and leadership developed through their local Clubs.

“We are honored to host this year’s State Youth of the Year competition,” said Terrence Davis, Executive Director of the Boys & Girls Club of Hopkinsville-Christian County. “These remarkable young people represent the very best of what our Clubs help make possible, confident leaders who are ready to shape the future of their communities.”

The event will conclude with a luncheon March 18 at the Hopkinsville Boys & Girls Club where the 2026 Kentucky State Youth of the Year and Military Youth of the Year will be announced. These two youth will serve as ambassadors for Boys & Girls Clubs and youth across the state.
