HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Campanile Productions, a local community theatre troupe that performs at the Alhambra Theatre has announced their upcoming 16th season. They are tackling three shows this year including Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, A Christmas Carol The Musical, and Legally Blonde The Musical.
All week, founding director Jeffrey Riggs has been teasing the seasons release with clues on social media. In an announcement post on Facebook, Riggs said “I would have never dreamed we would be doing this 16 years later.”
The season will kick off with Roald Dahls, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in September which Riggs describes as a full Broadway show with parts for kids, teens, and adults. Next, in partnership with the Pennyroyal Arts Council, Campanile will host a production of A Christmas Carol in December.
Finally, the season will conclude with Legally Blonde The Musical in March 2026. “I have been wanting to do this show since Campanile first started and I cannot wait to finally bring it to the stage. This show is a blast and there is so much dancing and so much fun,” said Riggs.
Campanile Productions just finished up their 2024 season with 9 to 5 The Musical earlier this month and hosted three other shows throughout the year. Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat was a huge success, alongside The Wizard of Oz, a show Campanile has not done in 10 years.
