Charles Vincent Wright Jr., 81, of Crofton, Kentucky died at 1:57 a.m., Monday, July 31, 2023 at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville, Kentucky.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, August 5, 2023 at Crofton Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Gifford officiating. Burial will be held at a later date in New York State. Dogwood Funerals & Cremations of Crofton is in charge of arrangements.
A native of Elmira, New York he was born on June 20, 1942 the son of the late Charles Vincent Wright Sr. and Dorotha Carey Wright.
In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his sisters, Mrs. Rosemary ‘Rosie’ (Larry) Davies, Mrs. Dorothea Jeane (Edward) Wheaton and Mrs. Alice (Ray) Sherwood; an infant twin sister, Edna Mae Wright and a seven year old brother, Donald Wright.
He was a member of Crofton Baptist Church and a retired carpenter. He worked for L.H. Davies Contracting, Sanderson Construction and maintenance at Outwood ResCare in Dawson Springs, Kentucky.
Survivors include his wife: Jacky Shearer Wright of Crofton, KY; his daughter, Anita Jean Wright of Trenton, KY; his brother, Stephen Wright of Maine and several nieces and nephews.
