HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Whether you’re an experienced gardener or a beginner, the Christian County Public Library wants to remind everyone that their seed library is available and free to use.
With warmer weather and the planting season beginning, gardeners can borrow seeds from the library as needed, and then save a portion of the seeds from the grown plants to return to the library. This ensures the seed library always has something to offer and gives people in the community access to a variety of seeds.
The seed library is located just inside the front door and is currently offering vegetable and flower seeds ranging from radishes to cactus. To check out seeds, participants can go directly to the seed library and do not need a library card.
Those interested in donating seeds to help stock the library for the 2025 growing season, can bring their donations to the front desk. For more information visit hccpl.org.
