HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – On Thursday night, the Christian County Public School Board approved the 2024-25 school year calendar.
According the CCPS, the calendar is slightly different from previous years, as it is a Variable Student Instructional Year calendar. Variable Student Instructional years means 1,062 hours of instruction is delivered on the number of attendance days adopted by the board of education. The number of attendance days is 170.
CCPS staff will work their full contracted days beginning Aug. 12 with students first full day on Monday, Aug. 26. There are four early release days in the school year, including Oct. 4, Nov. 4, Feb. 27, 2025 and April 18, 2025.
The school year will end on May 23, 2025, and students will have a fall break the first full week of October and a spring break the first week of April.
