HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The Christian County Sheriff’s Office is inviting citizens to a free neighborhood watch training on Nov. 14 from 6-9 p.m. at 701 West Seventh Street.
“This training empowers citizens to take an active role in maintaining public safety,” said Sheriff Tyler DeArmond in a news release. “We look forward to continuing to work together to build stronger, safer neighborhoods.”
The training will cover several topics including:
- Neighborhood Watch Basics
- Volunteer Management
- Strategic Planning
- Partnerships
- Meeting Planning and Conduct
- Target Hardening
- Observation Skills
- Reporting Suspicious Activity
Residents from all over the area are encouraged to attend and learn how to establish their own neighborhood watch program within their community.
