HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A FiveStar Food Mart is under construction on Pembroke Road across from Bill Bryan Boulevard in Hopkinsville, making it the first location in Christian County.

During a recent CDS meeting, Beth Richardson shared that the area currently sees around 11,647 trips per day. The addition of the gas station has the potential to add 10,852 trips per day. “The area out there is well suited for high traffic situations,” said Tom Britton, Executive Director with CDS.

The Hopkinsville location will have 20 fuel pumps alongside the convenience store. They will be serving up locally roasted coffee, fresh food options for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and a variety of cold drinks with their signature Chewy Ice, according to the FiveStar website.

Over recent years, development in that area continues to grow with the Agriculture Expo Center, Hutson John Deere, and a Hucks convenience store.  Construction is underway with the framing currently in place. The gas station is expected to be completed this spring.

FiveStar is a owned by the Newcomb Oil Co., which has more than 90 convenience store locations across Kentucky, Indiana, and Tennessee. It has approximately 1,400 employees with its headquarters located in Bardstown Kentucky.
