CHRISTIAN COUNTY, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – An ongoing investigation that started in April led to the arrest of 38-year-old soldier Eric Flynn and 32-year-old Riyad Baker Jr., both of Oak Grove at the end of August.
The investigation was a partnership between by the United States Army Criminal Investigation Division and the Christian County Sheriff’s Office Anti-Crime Unit.
CCSO reports that Baker was arrested at a home on Pacific Avenue on Aug. 26, where a search warrant was conducted after he sold cocaine and firearms several times to investigators. He was charged with drug trafficking in the first degree.
In connection to the arrest of Baker, the investigation also resulted in a warrant for Flynn on Aug. 26, who is an active-duty soldier at Fort Campbell. He ended up with charges for first-degree wanton endangerment, possession of cocaine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
After being arrested on the warrant during a traffic stop, CCSO says Flynn admitted to having cocaine in his possession.
