HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation is gearing up for summer with their Movies in the Park series starting Friday, May 10 with a free showing of Wonka at Tie Breaker Park.
This year, Parks and Recreation has added some new twists to the popular monthly movie nights with food trucks and bouncy houses. The festivities will kick off at 6 p.m., with the movie starting once the sun goes down, according to Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation. Each movie will be on a giant inflatable screen so families can bring their own blanket or seating to get cozy.
Here is the full summer movie schedule.
- May 10, Wonka at Tie Breaker Park.
- June 14, Disney Jungle Cruise at DeBow Recreational Complex.
- July 26, Migration at Ruff Park.
Along with three summer movies, two new holiday-themed indoor movies will be shown for families to enjoy as well.
- October 25, Hocus Pocus at Thomas Street Recreation Center.
- December 6, How the Grinch Stole Christmas at Thomas Street Recreation Center.
