HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Firefighters in Hopkinsville are investigating a possible gas leak Thursday morning that is impacting traffic downtown.
According to the Hopkinsville Fire Department, just before 9:30 a.m. emergency crews are operating near 700 East Seventh Street for a reported gas leak. They have advised that the local gas utility is on scene to aid with the investigation.
Road closures have been issued during this process for an undetermined amount of time. East Seventh Street is blocked between the South Campbell and Saint Michael’s Way intersections. Motorists traveling through this area should seek an alternate route.
