HOPKINSVILLE KY, (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation has revealed the Sixth Annual Hoptown Half Marathon and 5K medal design.
Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation first showcased the design on Sept. 16 saying, “For this year’s medal, we returned to a classic style, with our iconic Greenway Rail Trail bridge showcased in a high-quality 3D image for a distinct look.”

The Hoptown Half Marathon and 5K will take place on Saturday, Oct. 19 at 8 a.m. The race will begin at 706 South Main Street, in front of the Municipal Building in downtown Hopkinsville. The course will take runners through downtown, into residential areas, the countryside, and return participants downtown on the Hopkinsville Greenway and Rail Trail.
The half marathon is $79 to register while the 5K is $50. Price increases after Sept. 28. The event will also include a virtual marathon and 5k. Registration for the race is still open and can be found on their Hoptown Half Marathon website.
