HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – On June 4, the Hopkinsville Police Department said a second suspect has been taken into custody in connection to the recent homicide of 19-year-old Jordan Jones.
The first suspect was arrested just a few days ago on May 29. In a statement HPD said the investigation is ongoing, but all responsible parties are now in custody. The identity of both suspects has not been released.

The crime in question took place just before 12:30 p.m. on May 27. HPD and emergency crews responded to a subject who was shot at the 1200 block of Walnut Street near East 12th Street. Jones was found with a single gunshot wound to the chest, actively bleeding inside a vehicle. He later died at the hospital after CPR was administered by EMS.
Funeral services for Jones were held on June 2. According to his obituary, Jones attended First Presbyterian Church and worked full time as an operator at Riken Elastomers Corporation
