HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A Lafayette woman was arrested on June 15 for meth possession after deputies with the Christian County Sheriff’s office received a tip to her whereabouts.
The 47-year-old woman was located at a residence in the 5000 block of Madisonville Road in Hopkinsville, according to a news release from CCSO. The caller advised deputies that the suspect had an active warrant out of Caldwell County. She was located and arrested on Tuesday, June 15 after 8 p.m.
During the arrest, K9 units were deployed for an open-air sniff, which resulted in a positive alert on the woman’s vehicle. A subsequent search revealed methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, including a glass pipe inside the car.
The suspect was arrested and charged with first degree possession of controlled substance, and buying and possession of drug paraphernalia.
