HOPKINSVILLE, KY – Motorists who travel Seventh Street (U.S. 68) in Hopkinsville will notice crews setting up for an upcoming lane closure on Friday, which will cause some delays beginning Monday, Sept. 13.

Crews will block the westbound lane of U.S. 68 daily from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m as they begin widening the roadway at this location. Work will include installing drainage tile, rock and widening the new portion of the roadway. This work zone is located between where the divided lanes end (9 mm) and North Drive (10.14 mm). There will be an 8-foot load width restriction through this work zone.

During construction hours, drivers will experience alternating traffic flows controlled by flaggers.

Motorists looking to detour are advised to use KY 1682 to access U.S. 41 and downtown Hopkinsville, and the U.S. 68 Bypass to access U.S. 41A – Fort Campbell Blvd and downtown Hopkinsville.
