HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The City of Hopkinsville is asking for nominations recognizing individuals and organizations in the community for the Mayor’s Community Awards.

“Celebrating the achievements of exceptional community members inspires others to strive for excellence and contribute positively to the community. It serves as a reminder of the impact one person or organization can have on the entire city,” said Diane Turner the administrative coordinator.

There are several categories open for nominations including volunteering, non-profit work, education, public service, and for small business owners. Submissions can be made online, or sent to the Hopkinsville Municipal Building by mail or in person. The last day to nominate is July 26, at 2 p.m.

In August, Mayor James R. Knight will honor the recipients of the Mayor’s Community Awards at an event. For a full breakdown of the categories, visit the City of Hopkinsville website. For more information contact Diane Turner at 270-890-0215.
