HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The community is invited to Hopkinsville’s first ever lip sync battle where three epic battles from local organizations will take center stage at the Alhambra Theatre. Hosted by Joy Closet, the event aims to support the nonprofit and their mission to serve foster families.
Those who come out to see the epic battles on Jan. 25 at 7:30 p.m. will see three performances. The Hopkinsville Fire Department vs. Hopkinsville Police Department, United Southern Bank vs. H&R Agri-Power, and Christian County High School vs. Hopkinsville High School.
After each battle, audience members will text to vote for their favorite lip sync rendition to name a battle winner. At the end of the night, one grand champion will be crowned.
Tickets prices start at $35 and all sales or donations will support Hope House, the latest initiative from Joy Closet. Hope House aims to provide a safe place for children to stay as they await permanent foster care placements. “Our aim is to serve DCBS workers, foster families, and the children of our area and to reduce the amount of trauma those entering into foster care incur on potentially the worst day of their lives,” according to Joy Closet.
To purchase tickets, visit Joy Closet, or call 270-632-1232 for more information.
