HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A Hopkinsville man was killed in a car accident that occurred early Tuesday afternoon in Hopkinsville.
The Hopkinsville Fire Department/EMS responded to a motor vehicle accident just before noon on May 19. On the scene, emergency crews saw that a motorcycle had collided with the side of a utility bucket truck near the intersection of Means Avenue and North Virginia Street, according to HFD.
As a result of the impact, the rider of the motorcycle was ejected from the bike. A statement from HFD says life saving measures were administered on the scene, and the driver was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center with CPR in progress.
The Christian County Coroner confirmed that he died as a result of his injuries. He has been identified as 55-year-old Joe Taylor from Hopkinsville.
Hopkinsville Police is investigating a cause of the accident.
