OAK GROVE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Oak Grove Tourism was recognized at the Southeast Festivals and Events Associations Kaleidoscope Awards in Atlanta Georgia on Feb. 14, taking home three awards including Best Mascot, Best Event Program, and Best Children Festival.

The conference highlighted top festivals and events throughout the southeast for their outstanding contribution to the tourism industry, according to a press release from Oak Grove Tourism.

For Best Mascot “Pearl, the Squirrel” won the gold. Spring into Summer Salutes Ft. Campbell won the silver for the Best Event Program, and the Butterfly Festival won the Bronze for the Best Children Festival.

“This achievement is a testament to the combined efforts of our dedicated team, the unwavering support of our sponsors, and the vibrant community that makes our festival truly exceptional,” said Traci Cunningham, executive director of the Oak Grove Tourism and Convention Commission.

Cunningham said planning these festivals and events takes countless hours of creativity and hard work and winning these awards goes beyond recognition.

“I extend my deepest gratitude to every member of our incredible team, our sponsors, and the entire community that has supported us throughout this amazing journey. Their passion and dedication have been instrumental in pushing our festival to these heights,” Cunningham said.
