HOPKINSVILLE, KY – Dogs and cats of all ages, breeds, sizes are waiting to be adopted at the Christian County Animal Shelter. The shelter is at 2935 Russellville Road, and the phone number is 270-887-4175. Business hours are Tuesday-Saturday from 10:30-4 p.m. and the shelter is closed for lunch from 12:30-1 p.m.
Here are two animals the shelter recommends this week for adoption:
Meet Brantley. She is a one year old black DSH that was brought to the shelter as a stray. We are unsure if she is good with other cats, dogs, or children as she was a stray and we have no way of knowing. She has been using her litter box here at the shelter just fine! Brantley has been given her first round of vaccines and is FLV/FIV/HW NEGATIVE as of 03/14/2024. She is now ready to find her new purr-ever home! Brantley’s adoption fee is $67.50

Meet Nova. She is a 7 month old Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull mix that was released to the shelter because the owner got deployed and they could not care for her. She is good with other dogs, and enjoys having them around to play with. She has never been around cats, so we are unsure how she would do with them. She loves children and enjoys meeting new people. She is not house trained or crate trained, but she is still young enough that she could be trained with as long as you are patient with her. This sweet girl has been given her first round of vaccines and is heartworm negative as of 01/26/2024. She is now ready to find her new furr-ever home. Nova’s adoption fee is $75.50.
