HOPKINSVILLE, KY – Mayor J.R. Knight will present the City of Hopkinsville’s
annual budget address on Friday, May 1 at 9 a.m. in Council Chambers, located at 715 South Virginia Street.
The annual budget address provides an overview of the city’s financial outlook and outlines key priorities for the upcoming fiscal year. Community members are invited to attend and learn more about the investments and initiatives that will shape Hopkinsville’s future.
Following the mayor’s presentation, the proposed budget will be formally submitted to Hopkinsville City Council for review and final approval. The first Special Called Committee of the Whole meeting to discuss the proposed budget will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2026.
“This address is an important opportunity to share our vision and priorities with the community,” said Mayor Knight. “We encourage residents to attend and stay informed about how we are working to serve Hopkinsville.”
