HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) –The restaurant space formerly occupied by Novadell has been transformed into Sapore Ristorante, an Italian eatery specializing in fresh pasta, ravioli, and classic Italian dishes.
“Sapore in Italian means flavor, like fresh Italian flavors,” said Chef and Co-owner Arbnor Gashi. Gashi, who also owns Casa D’Italia in Clarksville and another restaurant in Bowling Green gained his culinary experience working in New York City’s Little Italy and the Bronx.
Sapore has opened its doors this summer and Gashi and his partners targeted Hopkinsville due to the significant number of their customers who travelled from Hopkinsville to their other locations. The opportunity to open Sapore arose when Novadell closed, and the property owners sought a new tenant.
After opening on Aug. 28, Sapore made a strong impression, with Gashi reporting a successful grand opening. “It’s been great so far. We have had amazing feedback about our food and service,” he said.
A standout dish on the menu is Branzino al Limone, a sea bass that Gashi personally enjoys. “It’s a delightful dish and one of my favorites,” he told Christian County Now. Other menu items include pork chops contadina, lobster ravioli, house made tiramisu, pappardelle alla boscaiola, and many other Italian dishes.
Gashi expressed his enthusiasm for the restaurant’s future stating he looks forward to continuing working with this community. “I really enjoy it. I love cooking, making menus, creating specials, and working with a staff.”
Sapore Ristorante is open Tuesday through Thursday 4-9 p.m. and until 9:30 p.m. on Friday. They are open for lunch on Sunday 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. For more information contact Sapore at 270-632-1272.
