CHRISTIAN COUNTY, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – President Donald Trump will hold a rally not far from Christian County this weekend, which includes a visit to Fort Campbell, according to multiple sources and news affiliate Clarksville Now.

Officials told WSMV4 that Trump is expected to fly in and out of Fort Campbell Army Airfield on Saturday. Officials have also confirmed the visit to Clarksville Now, though details have not yet been released.

Separately, Ward Baker, who manages Sen. Marsha Blackburn’s campaign for governor, told the USA TODAY Network-Tennessee that Trump plans to attend an event at F&M Bank Arena just across the state line in Clarksville, Tennessee, according to The Tennessean. That has been confirmed to Clarksville Now by unnamed sources.

The White House has not yet made any formal announcement.

Presidential visits to Fort Campbell

This would be Trump’s first visit to Fort Campbell, a regular stop for U.S. presidents (especially George W. Bush). In addition to its military importance, Fort Campbell Army Airfield is a good logistical stop for Air Force One as it is a secure location that can handle large aircraft.
