OAK GROVE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Matthew Lawrence, a professional poker player and local business owner is focusing his attention on a new addition to the city of Oak Grove called The OG ClubHouse.

For the past couple of weeks, Lawrence and his team have been renovating the building at 406 Thompsonville Lane, which used to be an old church and the old Oak Grove Utility Department.

“There hasn’t really been any place for adults to go in Clarksville, Hopkinsville, Oak Grove for people to go to and do adult activities without any smoke or alcohol,” said Lawrence, General Manager. “It’s pretty much bars or nothing.”

The ClubHouse aims to be an entertainment spot with recreational options like golf simulator bays, dart boards, a lounge area for game and trivia nights, poker tournaments, and more. “It’s going to be a clean environment with no alcohol,” said Lawrence.

With renovations only two weeks in, The OG ClubHouse still aims to have a soft opening the first week of October. They are on track to have a grand opening in November, Lawrence told Christian County Now.

As a business owner, Lawrence says he is excited for this opportunity and has already received so much support. “It is very exciting and Oak Grove has been fantastic with their support. We have really been embraced by the community. People always stop by the building asking what it is going to be.”
