HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Grab your blanket and chair for an eerie night at Jeffers Bend for their annual Torchlight Tales returning on Saturday, Oct. 19 from 6-8 p.m.

The night will focus on the story of the Bell Witch as local historian William Turner and storyteller Wayne Goolsby transform listeners to the small town of Adams. According to Tennessee Legends, the Bell Witch haunted, spooked, and harassed the Bell family in the 1800’s. To this day, the story has caught the attention of ghost hunters, historians and paranormal enthusiasts from all over the world.

As a beloved annual spooky event, Jeffers Bend is expecting over 300 people to attend. During the story, several individuals will be dressed in Bell Witch attire and period clothing from the 1800’s while interacting with the crowd, promising a fully immersive experience into the Bell Witch world.

There will be hot chocolate, cookies, smores’ and gift bags for those dressing up in their Halloween costumes.
