HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – This weekend at the Western Kentucky State Fairgrounds the excitement is set to escalate as the annual farm pull and demolition derby take center stage.
The two grandstand events will kick off on Friday with the Farm and Altered Farm Truck and Tractor Pulls. Traci Mason with the WKSF says there will also be a semi-truck doing a demonstration along with semi pulls. “We hope this will create some excitement and it may be something we will add to the fair in the future,” said Mason.
Attendees can come back for night two at the fairgrounds with the demolition derby on Saturday. This event has quickly become a fan favorite since WKSF first hosted it in 2018. “We are expecting a very high attendance,” said Mason. “Plus, the weather will be great this weekend.”
Interested participants can still sign up with tractor weigh ins and registration at 3-5 p.m. on Friday at Southern States on West 15th Street. On Saturday, participants can start registering for the derby at 4 p.m. at the fairgrounds.
Tickets are $10 for grandstand seats, $15 for pit gate admission, pit parking is $20, children aged five and under are free. The gates will open at 6 p.m. with the pulls and derby starting at 7 p.m.
