TRAFFIC ALERT: 2 vehicle wreck on Christian County interstate leaves man with severe injuries

Traffic is impacted around mile marker 73 in Christian County due to a severe wreck.

HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A two-vehicle accident left a man with severe injuries in Christian County Thursday evening.

The accident occurred just before 5 p.m. on I-24 near mile marker 73 in the westbound lane. Payton Rogers, spokesperson for Hopkinsville Fire/EMS said a man in his 70s was transported via AirEvac to Jennie Stuart Health in critical condition. His injuries include multi system trauma.

The other individual involved in the crash was a man in his 30s, who was transported nonemergency by Fort Campbell EMS. As of 5:15 p.m., traffic continues to be impacted in this area.
