FORT CAMPBELL, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Hundreds of trees will be given to Fort Campbell soldiers and families through the Trees for Troops program on Saturday, Dec. 2, from noon-4 p.m.
According to a press release from Fort Campbell, trees will be available to junior enlisted service members from noon- 2 p.m. and all active duty from 2-4 p.m., at 6390 Desert Storm Ave. Supplies are limited and ID cards will be checked.
Trees for Troops brings together FedEx, the Christmas SPIRIT Foundation and tree farmers across America to deliver real trees to service members stationed across the U.S. and overseas. Since the program launch in 2005, FedEx has shipped almost 300,000 Christmas trees.
Participants are encouraged to bring blankets and padding to protect their vehicle from potential damage.
