On Thanksgiving morning, runners, walkers, children, and families bundled up to participate in the 23 annual Hopkinsville Turkey Trot, which meandered through downtown and the Greenway Trail.

HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – On Thanksgiving morning, runners, walkers, children, and families bundled up to participate in the 23rd Annual Hopkinsville Turkey Trot, which led people through downtown and the Greenway Trail.
This year, despite the cold weather and overcast skies, the community of Hoptown still came out to give it their best shot.

The Turkey Trot, a free 5k race, is a longstanding community tradition in Hopkinsville. Over the last 20 years, the annual event has attracted 1,200-1,500 participants, according to Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation Department.
