HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – There are lots of events happening in Christian County this weekend! Celebrate Halloween in Oak Grove with spooky fun, sample the best local chili recipes, enjoy a craft fair, partake in a clay shooting competition, watch festive movies, and so much more!

Halloween In the Grove: A family-friendly evening packed with spooky fun! Enjoy a hayride to a pumpkin patch where you can pick the perfect pumpkin, stroll down Trick-or-Treat Alley to collect plenty of sweet treats, and, if you’re feeling brave, venture into a haunted house. The fun begins Saturday, Oct. 26 at 5 p.m. at Valor Hall, 105 Walter Garrett Lane.

MAC Chili Cook-Off and Cornbread Competition: Join MAC for their annual Chili Cook-Off and Cornbread Challenge! Bring your best chili and cornbread recipes and compete against other teams for the top spot. The event is $5 to sample and begins on Saturday, Oct. 26 at 2:30 p.m. at Founders Square.

Holiday Hooplah Craft and Vendor Fair : Enjoy Hopkinsville’s largest craft and vendor fair with products, vendors, food trucks and more! Free admission and parking at Planters Bank-Jennie Stuart Health Sportsplex, 155 Tilly Way on Saturday, Oct. 26 from 9-3 p.m.

Chamber’s Slay the Clay 2024: Join for Christian County Chamber’s Slay the Clay shooting competition at Cross Creek Clay on Jarman Hollow Road. The event begins Friday, Oct. 25 at 8 a.m. Mulligans 2 for $10 -Long Bird Challenge 5 for $10.

Halloween Movie Night: Join Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation for a Halloween movie night with a costume contest, face painting, and more! The movie is free at Thomas Street Recreation Center, 2600 Thomas Street on Friday,

Movies in the Park: Grab a blanket and chair for Movies in the Park. This week, watch Nightmare Before Christmas at Lafayette City Park, on Friday, Oct. 25 at 7:30 p.m.

The Trophy House and Staton’s House Open House: Join The Trophy House and Staton’s, 4259 Fort Campbell Blvd., for their annual Christmas open house. Pop in and try samples of Kentucky Proud food products on Saturday, Oct. 26 from 9-2 p.m.

Patriot Chevrolet Annual Trunk or Treat:  Join Patriot Chevrolet, 4401 Ft. Campbell Blvd. for their annual trunk or treat where local businesses will pass out candy. There will be a contest for best decorated vehicle. The fun begins Saturday, Oct. 26 from 1-5 p.m.

Booze and Boos: Food trucks and live music on site at Casey Jones Distillery, 2815 Witty Lane on Saturday, Oct. 26 from 10-8 p.m.
