HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – This weekend, listen to the sounds of trumpets and saxophones, enjoy a tea time lunch, nerd out with a Harry Potter marathon, and take a stroll through downtown.
2nd Street Duo: Mike Dipasquale on saxophone and Addisson Grimm on trumpet. Let’s celebrate the joy and sound of spring at Holiday Inn and Suites, 100 Tilley Way. The free concert is on Friday, April 26 from 6-7 p.m.
Mother Daughter Tea: Joy Closet is hosting their 2nd annual mother daughter tea date at Edgewood Baptist Church, 2300 Cadiz Road. Tea attire is recommended and all ages are welcome. The event is on Saturday, April 27 from 10-1 p.m.
Harry Potter Movie Marathon: Watch all eight Harry Potter movies at The Showbox, 4000 Fort Campbell Blvd. There will be four movies each day, with Harry Potter merchandise and a meet and greet with Hagrid. The show begins on Saturday, April 27 at 10 a.m. and Sunday, April 28 at 10 a.m. Movie tickets are $60.
Spring Stroll: Led by Museum Director Alissa Keller, this walking tour will discuss historic architecture – exploring some of downtown’s most interesting architecture while sharing stories of the people, businesses, and events that have shaped the historic heart of our town. The stroll begins at Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County, 310 East 9 Street on Saturday, April 27 at 10:30 a.m.
Spring Concert: The Pennyrile Area Community Band presents their Spring Concert on Sunday, April 28th at 3:00pm at the Hopkinsville Community College Auditorium, 720 North Drive. Free and open to the public. Donations accepted. Guest conductor- J. Daniel Jenkins.
