HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – This weekend indulge in a variety of activities. Cozy up with the family and watch a movie, enjoy some summer fun with games and food, test your trivia knowledge, support small businesses, and enjoy live music and food trucks.
Movies in the Park: Join Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation for their movies in the park featuring Disney Jungle Cruise! There will be food trucks, bouncy houses, and family activities on site at DeBow Recreational Center, 2600 Thomas Street. The movie will begin at sundown on Friday, June 14 at 6 p.m.
Summer Fun: Visit the Oak Grove Community Center, 1705 Thompsonville Lane for games, food, fun, and take home a summer fun pack. Summer Fun will begin on Friday, June 14 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
BLVD Bash: With the goal of highlighting the growing number of small businesses along the Fort Campbell Boulevard corridor in Hopkinsville, the BLVD Bash will be held on Saturday, June 15 and will span across roughly three miles featuring live music, entertainment and art.
Trivia Night: Enjoy a night of trivia, laughter, fellowship and cash! The winning team will be awarded $1,000. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Dyslexia Association. The night begins on Friday, June 14 at 6:30 p.m. at the War Memorial Building, 1202 S. Virginia Street.
Summer Solstice Kickoff: There will live music and food trucks on site at Casey Jones Distillery, 2815 Witty Lane on Saturday, June 15 at 9 a.m.
Juneteenth Celebrating Freedom: There will be food, games, a kids area and much more! There will also be free HIV and Hepatitis C Testing at the Boys and Girls Club, 1600 Walnut Street. The festivities begin on Saturday, June 15 from 1-6 p.m.
