HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – This Memorial Day weekend is jam packed with fun activities for the whole family! Enjoy the annual Spring into Summer Festival, eat burgers at a block party, get tipsy with the museum, take the kids fishing and much more. The only hard part will be deciding what to do!

Spring into Summer Salutes Festival: There will be carnival rides, stage shows, concerts, fireworks, food trucks and a lot of fun at this free event at the Oak Grove Memorial Walking Trail, 101 Walter Garrett Lane. The festival begins Saturday, May 25 at noon until Sunday at 6 p.m.

Downtown Block Party:  Enjoy burgers, beer, and music with a silent disco. It will be a whole lot of fun! The party begins on Saturday, May 25 from 4-9 p.m. at Hopkinsville Brewing Co., 102 East 5 Street.

Downtown Tipsy Tour: The museum is hosting a downtown spring stroll through three historic spots. Participants will receive a ticket for $30 to cover the price of three adult beverages. The tour begins at the Museum of Historic Hopkinsville, 310 East 9 Street on Saturday, May 25 at 5 p.m.

23 Annual Take Kids Fishing Day: There will be water activities for all including a water slide and water obstacle course. Families can fish and enjoy food, fun and prizes. Participants are asked to bring their own towels and poles. Participant fee is $2 and fishing will take place at Jeffers Bend on Metcalf Lane on Saturday, May 25 at 9 a.m.

Historical Marker Bus Tour: Hop on the Batter Bus for the first ever historical market tour. Learn about the history of Hopkinsville including its people, its places, and more. The tour will be narrated by museum director, Alissa Keller. The tour is $15 and will begin at the Visitors Center, 1720 East 9 Street on Saturday, May 25 at 10 a.m.

Cookout with a Cop:  Enjoy hotdogs and grill items with local law enforcement and Hopkinsville Police Department for this free cookout on Saturday, May 25 from 11-1 p.m. at Joe Mumford Park, 1725 Woodmill Park.
