HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – This weekend, grab the kids for a close-up on all things sirens and machinery, see teams of dogs race against the clock for flyball, and turn back time to the Golden Age of Hollywood with an outdoor concert and silent auction.

8th Annual Hopkinsville Touch-A-Truck:  Kids and families can come to experience the excitement of mechanical equipment up close. There will be police cars, fire trucks, utility vehicles, dump trucks, an air evac helicopter and so much more! The event will be held at DeBow Recreational Complex, 2600 Thomas Street on Saturday, May 11 from 10-1 p.m. Sensory friendly hour will begin at noon until 1 p.m.

Bluegrass Fun Run Flyball Tournament: Flyball races match two teams of four dogs each, racing in side-by-side lanes over a 51-foot long course. Each dog must run in relay fashion down the jumps, trigger a Flyball box that releases a tennis ball, retrieve the ball, and return back over the jumps. The event will be held at the Western Kentucky State Fairgrounds, 2810 Richards Street on Saturday, May 11 at 7:30 a.m.

Picnic with the Pops:  Todd Hill and his orchestra will entertain crowds with timeless Hollywood favorites. Food will be provided from local restaurants and patrons are encouraged to dress in accordance of the them The Golden Age of Hollywood. This fun event will take place at the Alhambra Theatre, 507 South Main Street on Saturday, May 11 at 5:30 p.m.
