HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The anticipation is building as the Western Kentucky State Fair makes its return to town, promising a week filled with excitement and entertainment. Scheduled to kick off on Friday, June 21, the annual event is set to captivate locals and visitors in Christian County.
“The WKSF is nine fun filled days of family fun. The rides are provided by Drew Amusements, who are great community partners, and we try to have events in the grandstands each evening that the community will enjoy,” said WKSF spokesperson Traci Perry.
Gates will open at 5 p.m. on Friday, June 21 with rides opening at 6 p.m. For $25, participants can purchase armbands for unlimited ride access. Rides include the classic fair attractions like the ferris wheel, carousel, swings, and will host an array of big thrills. There will also be a petting zoo and a western themed dance with live music from the Country Twang Band on opening night at the Convention Center.
That Saturday, an array of pageants will take the stage in the morning with gates opening later at 4 p.m. More events will cover the grounds throughout the week including tractor pulls, wrestling, poultry shows, home and garden exhibits, goat shows, and more.
Gate admission is $3 and for $1 military members. Children two and under are free. For more information visit the Western Kentucky State Fair website.
