HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Hopkinsville Police Department, S.W.A.T, the Hopkinsville Special Investigations Unit, and the Drug Enforcement Unit collaborated on a drug trafficking arrest on May 15.

The 39-year-old male suspect was found after a search warrant was obtained for a residence on McKee Street in Hopkinsville, according to a news release from HPD. When officers arrived, the suspect attempted to flee in his rental vehicle, almost hitting an officer, and ultimately ramming a police cruiser. He was soon surrounded and arrested.

HPD says this is the suspect’s twelfth arrest, and his sixth drug trafficking charge in Christian County. He is currently being charged for trafficking in cocaine, fentanyl, and methamphetamine. Additional charges include fleeing and evading police, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, wanton endangerment, resisting arrest, and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.

“McCarley was convicted on his five previous drug trafficking charges, yet he is still on the streets putting officers’ lives in danger and polluting our community with drugs,” said HPD.
